Living The Dream

Peacock is my wife, Jessica’s maiden name and the name we chose for our family’s farm. The name is simple and meaningful. It represents our family and our goal to remain committed to our work as farmers, and focused on our dedication to growing and producing quality vegetables and wines. After studying ag-business at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where we met, Jessica and I set forth to create a niche for ourselves on the Central Coast, farming tomatoes grown year round in greenhouses.

 A few years later, we purchased several acres of   land in Arroyo Grande, off the familiar Los Berros Road. It is here that we set our flag and planted vineyards of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, varietals recognized and celebrated   by many Central Coast   locals. Among our   vineyards, is our home,   where Jessica and I raise   our daughter Rebecca (18)   and our son Wyatt (14). As   our vineyards spent the years maturing, we built up our family farm, adding gardens and beautiful patios. We have the pleasure of hosting weddings during the late Spring, Summer and Fall months and love the opportunity to welcome new guests to our family farm.

In addition to our Arroyo Grande vineyard, we farm six acres of Sangiovese, Tempranillo, and Barbera in San Miguel, where the summer heat supports a level of ripeness and maturity our coastal areas don’t allow for.

In July of 2017 we were blessed with the opening of our Tasting Room and Farmstead. We enjoy offering the fruits of our labor for sale and meeting and greeting new guests and our enjoying the company of our current members. The “winery” is a perfect place for this type of community & enjoyment! Passerbys will enjoy tasting and drinking fine wine, displays of fresh produce, fresh baked goods, gifts, homemade jams & canned fruit and much more! We are living the dream and our children love being along for the ride…

My wife Jessica and I wear all the hats in our business drawing from our experience as farmers, marketers, consumers, and wine drinkers. We have created a boutique winery that specializes in small quantities of exceptional wine and are excited to be one of the few wineries whose Winemaker is also the Grower and Owner. We are devoted to remaining small and approachable as a winery and look forward to making you a part of the Peacock family experience.
